Disassembling the joint

  1. Dismantle the joint by unscrewing the retaining nut with a special spanner available from your supplier.
  2. Check the pipe to ensure that it is not damaged. If so, cut out the damaged section.
  3. Check the "O" ring for damage and replace if necessary.
  4. Check the "O" ring protector and replace if necessary.
  5. Check the Stainless Steel grabber ring.
  6. When a joint is completely dismantled, it is required that the Stainless Steel grabber ring be replaced, as some distortion may have occured.
  7. Check joint to ensure it is free of contamination.
  8. Ensure that the internal components are replaced in the right order.
  9. Cut out section of pipe that has penetrated the retaining nut.
